Create new item or update existing item

Here is the scenario where I need help from community:

"PageTitle" is a required field. This field is used as important conditional check field. Also there is "Status" choice field with New,Active,QA,Closed as choice values.

When an item is submitted in SharePoint list, automate the workflow as below:

  • IF it is an existing record(PageTitle), then
    • IF the Status is Closed, then
      • Create a new record for that PageTitle
    • ELSE update the following fields:
      • Comments
      • Flag Count ++
  • ELSE
    • Create new record

Can I get help from someone in the community!

Please expand on what you need - the more information the better.  For example, where is your data stored?  SharePoint?  What will kick off/trigger your Flow?  More is better when it comes to providing this information.

i believe this flow is what you described.

if page title is not unique though you may run into issues, it seems like it is not unique if you are creating another record if one is closed off, as long as two that are open do not exist then you should be ok otherwise both will get updated.Annotation 2019-11-01 073428.png

@Gristy , Can you please provide me the expressions(formulas) that you have used. I would like to take a try.

It was just length passing in the value returned from get items
