Creating a contact list using SPO list and FLOW

Hi all,

I need to create a list of users in a SPO list.

I created a column(People or Group)

I also created columns "First Name", "Last Name", ""Mobile number", etc

When a new item is created in the list the flow needs to "get item" -> "get user profile" and populate the other columns

I am stuck right at the start. I do not know how to use the (already completed) field an get it's UPN or email id to start the "get user profile" function

Any pointers?

Thanks

Hi @EugeneJvR

Here is the below given steps which can help you to accomplish your requirements.

forgive me for not proper structure of sharepoint list and Flow. However, this completes the required process.

SharePoint list

This list contains columns as below

Title: default list column

username: People picker

First Name: Single line of Text

Last Name: Single Line of Text

SharePoint list configurations

Flow Solution

  1. First i have used the Trigger named When an Item is Created in SharePoint list.
  2. Second Action i have used is the Get User Profile (V2)
  3. Then i have used the Update item action where we are updating the User Profile details.

Please find below given flow Screenshot of Microsoft Flow configuration.

  get user profile.png

Hope it will achive your requirements, if still you have an query or any questions feel free to post here.

If it works for you please accept this as a solution so other community members will also get benefit of this thread.
