Creating calendar entries from parsed email

Hi all,

I'm new to flow so the question is quite simple.

We are being notified of systems outages by email (something like [system FOOBAR will be down for maintenace on 05-10-2019 starting at 11:45 for approx 45 minutes] so I'm trying to define a flow that will create a calendar entry from a parsed email (using Parserr).

Now I could parse the email extracting the following info

"title" = "Email subject"

"startdate" = 05-10-2019

"starttime" = 11:45

"lenght" = 45

In the flow builder I use the "Create Event v4" action but I cannot undestand how to define the start/end dates i.e how to define expressions using dinamic content.

Can you help?

Thanks

Hi @mauslyon

Please follow the below steps:

First I declare all the values. In your case you need to map these from your email parse texts.

time1.png

Next we need to workout StartTime and EndTime.

time2.png

Following  are the expressions I used for the above.

concat(variables('StartDate'),' ',variables('StartTime'))

formatDateTime(variables('StartDateTime'),'yyyy-MM-ddThh:mm:ss')

addMinutes(outputs('Compose_-_Start_Date_Time'),int(variables('Duration')))

Next add the calendar event, map the above values.

Above set your time zone appropriately.

Here is my test results.

Event added in my calendar. See below.
