Hi,
I am trying to create a flow triggered from Dynamics 365 for Operations, the trigger is limited to 'When an entity is added or updated'. On using this, I can choose my environment correctly (connections tried and tested by successfully running flow to update d365fo from an sql trigger) but I cannot access the entities. ??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Karen
Hi Karen,
As you said, currently the only trigger for Dynamics 365 for Operations is “When an entity is added or updated”. If you need other triggers for this connector, please consider to create a request at Flow Ideas Forum.
Please make sure you have created entities in Dynamics 365 for Operations.
There is an action “Dynamics 365 for Operations – Get list of entities”, could you try to create a simple flow to see if you could get all the entities in your account?
Best regards,
Mabel Mao
Was this post ever resolved? I am trying this trigger now in April 2019, and it looks like things have expanded since the original post in Aug. 2017. But the D365FO connector still says "Preview" and I can't get it to work. When I browse connectors, and choose this one, I get an error message saying the page is not available.
I wasn't sure what to do with the action to "get list of entities" as suggested by Mabel, so I created a simple flow to send myself an Outlook email "When a Business Event occurs", which is still the only trigger available. Now there are Category and Business Event to choose from. There is a limited list of choices. I chose "Accounts Receivable" and "Free text invoice posted" since it is something fairly easy to test. The tester times out and never fires the flow, when using the tester function within Flow editor tool. I wonder if I have to share my flow or deploy it through LCS to get it to listen for the trigger action in D365FO?
I also notice that there is no dynamic content available to insert into my email. Are these limitations because this connector is still in "Preview"? I can't find anything on the Roadmap that says when this connector will be in General Availability.
On further investigation, I found this good documentation about Business Events, and a batch job that is required to trigger the events so Flow can "consume" them. We are on Platform 24 as required, but I can not see these menu options on the System Admin menu. I am working with our solution architect to determine why.

The April '19 release says the F&O "Business events for integration" are still in PREVIEW until June 2019, but it should be working in our demo environment, if I could get the business event batch job working.
Anyone out there have any success getting this to work while in Preview?
