Data Operations

Hi,

I am atempting to build a flow that will get SharePoint list item, filter items based on each of the users and email a table of a summary table of the Items.

What is happining is that flow is generating an email for each one of the items for the user and the table has the same items each time.For exsample, if I have a User name Ted and they have 3 list items related to them called X,Y,Z. Ted would get three emails that inculde a table with three X, three Y and three Z. I think I know why this is happening, just not sure how to fix it.

Below are screen shots of the flow and a sample of the email so that you can see the table. Any sugestions would be appreciated.

Re: Data Operations

Hi @ Drew1,

Do you want to send an email to a specific Branch Manager(A email address) with items which's Branch Manager is equal to the email address?

I have made a test on my side, and I have create a sharepoint list as below:

And you could refer to link below to create the flow:

Note:

1. the expression of Customer Number in the Select action as below::

item()?['Customer_x0020_Number']

2. the expression of Customer Name in the Select action as below::

item()?['Customer_x0020_Name']

3. the expression of Total Adjustment in the Select action as below::

item()?['Total_x0020_Adjustment']

The flow would run successfully as below to send the email with html table:

Re: Data Operations

@v-yuazh-msft Thanks for the reply! I will try this out. The one thing that is a little diffrent than what you did is I want the list to have several diffrent Branch Mangers on it and  the email to be sent to the corresponding Bracnh Manager. How would I make the email address dynamic, opposed to hard coding it in, within the Filter Array step?

Re: Data Operations

@v-yuazh-msft Just an update. I was able to get the flow to work how you showed above with using an email address within the Filter Array step. I have not been able to figure out how to make the email address dynimac so that it will filter on the various Branch Managers that are in the list. Any help with that our direction you can give, would be a big help.

Re: Data Operations

Hi @ Drew1,

Please add some actions unser the "Create HTML table" as screenshot below:

Capture.PNG

Note:

1.Initial a variable "Branch Manager"

2.Choose the "Body" dynamic content of the "Filter Array" action in the input field of the "Apply to each".

3.Set the variable with expression as below:

   item()?['Branch_x0020_Manager']

The flow would run successfully as below to send the email with html table:
