Date format in Outlook to Excel

Hello,

I am trying to create a simple log of all emails coming from my Outlook account. I have succcesfully connected both Outlook and Excel.

My problem is formatting the date that comes form Outlook. I need to convert the "Received" timestamp to mm/dd/yyyy. For example, 2017-10-09T14:56:43+00:00 should read 10/09/2017.

I'm sure this is fairly simple, but I'm struggling with the logic in Flow (compared to say, Zapier). Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Date format in Outlook to Excel

Hi @ilittle,

You could take use of the expression, then use the formatDateTime function to format the time string, for example:

If here you are using the When a new email arrives trigger, then we could take use of the expression at the corresponding Excel field, with the formula below:

formatDateTime(triggerBody()?['DateTimeReceived'],'MM/dd/yyyy')
