Does the terminate control end the flow no matter where it is? Or, can you use it to only terminate a branch of the flow (say you have a branch set up to send a reminder Email if a condition if not met... if the condition is met you'd want to "terminate" that reminder branch of the flow but leave the rest of the flow to continue).
Thanks

Hi @CP153319,
Do you want to stop a branch of your flow using the "Terminate" action?
I have made a test on my side, the "Terminate" action would end the whole flow no matter where it is. If you want to stop a branch of your flow, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in Microsoft Flow currently.
If you would like this feature to be added in Microsoft Flow, please submit an idea to Flow Ideas Forum:

I have been experiencing different results.
I have a flow that uses a terminate if a condition is true.
The flow analyzer shows that all subsequent actions are "cancelled" and they appear with an "x" next to them. The weird thing is that they all still EXECUTE.
All the remaining steps in the flow run, even though the flow analyzer shows them as not running.
I know this because I receive emails and see the results of subsequent actions like "Create Task" and "Update Item" that supposedly did not run.
Any comment on this?
Thanks,
That is really interesting. Maybe try setting the "Terminate" function choices to "Failed" and then configure the next action after it to run only if the Terminate action "Succeeded".
I would assume that a delay would work just fine:
Circumstance A: They want the whole flow to stop so terminate will work
Circumstance B: They want a branch to stop while the rest of the flow completes - here a delay on this branch and a terminate on the other 'finishing' branches would work
If they wanted to play around they could technically delay till the flow times out (30 days) but that's pretty inefficient and will take some of the capacity of the flows. Adding a function to kill one branch is pretty low priority considering how many other things we desperately want in power automate xD
I had the same issue so I had to put a Terminate action at the end on both branches in my flow. However, although one branch shows all completed the other branch shows the first action still running (or waiting) even though the entire flow has completed. Should I be concerned re this or does the waiting action stop eventually?
