Due Date action e-mail reminder

Hello guys, I have an weekly operational meeting, where we use a Share point list (Action Board) to track our actions for the week.

In this list we have the field "Due Date", I need to create a flow using Microsoft Flow, that will send an automatic email to the person who is assigned for the action, one day before the due date.

Can you guys help me on that?

Hi GustavoS,

You may consider to create a flow using a Condition to check if the date is OneDay before the Due date.

Please consider to combine formatDateTime and adddays functions in the condition.

I have created a flow according to your scenario, the flow is configured as:

Please try it on your side. This documentation about Workflow definition language would be a reference for you:

Hi Mabel,

I tried to do your flow, but i keep getting this error message :

It wasn't possible to validate the model: 'The action from model 'Condition' in line '1' and in colunm '1348' its not valid.: "It's not possible to analyse the language expression from the model: '@equals(items('Apply_to_each')?['Orig_x002e__x0020_Due_x0020_Date'], formatDateTime(adddays(utcnow(), -1) 'yyyy-MM-dd'))'

I swittched [DATE] for [Due Date] witch is my field name

Could you please help me on that? Thank you in advance.

Hi Gustavo,

I am currently facing the same problem as you. I need to set up a flow to send reminder mails 7 days before the due date but keep getting the same error message as you.

Have you found a solution to your problem?

Thanks in advance!

Hello AnSaj greetings!

No, I kind of abandoned the proect. Due to enterprise limitations I wasn't able to use SharePoint Designer, so I tried "Flow", guess you can try it on SharePoint Designer.

Hi GustavoS,

thanks for your reply! Unfortunately I don't think that we have SharePoint Designer as a resource, but I will check it out.

Have you got solution to do this in Microsoft Flow?
