Hi,
I have a SharePoint list that our sales dept use to add on sales orders. When a new item is added it alerts our finance dept who then process the order on the finance system (completely separate to SharePoint). The finance dept then flag the item on SharePoint as being completed by them - the item then emails the relevant dept for processing the order (this depends on the dept. selections within the item itself which dept receives the email). This all works perfectly fine.
This issue we are seeing is if someone goes into the item and modifies anything within the item it then emails the dept. again to advise that there is a new item for processing (sending the same email it did previously when flagged by the finance dept.). Is there any way to prevent the email from being sent if the item is modified in any way?
Thanks
Gary

Hi @thegnic
It seems like you want finance dept. to be notified when a new item is added by sales dept.
And only when finance dept. flag the item as completed, send an email to relevant dept.
If I’ve understood your need, please feel free to let me know.
I have created a flow to meet your need.
First, for a new item added by sales dept., notify the finance dept.
Use the condition as below:
Then, only when finance dept. flag the item as completed, send an email to relevant dept..
You need to add following steps to check specific column change. For more information about the steps below, go to the link: Check for a Change in a SharePoint List Column Val... - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)).
The whole flow is as below:
If you still have problem, please feel free to let me know.
