Dynamic List in MailChimp connector error

i have a flow successfulling adding contacts from my SQL to a list in mailchimp. I have hardcoded the mailchimp list to add them to within the Flow by using the drop down where it shows me all the lists i have

however, i want my flow to be dynamic and i want to pass the flow the list name as well as the contact details, and have the List Name be a vailable the flow uses to tell Mail Chimp which list to use... but it errors out saying it cant find that list, but it's there and works fine when hard coded

any ideas would be appreciated. thanksmailchimp not found 2.JPGmailchimp not found.JPG

Re: Dynamic List in MailChimp connector error

Hi @ StephenM,

Could you please share a screenshot of your flow’s configuration?

How do you code the list to make the flow works?

Actually, the " Add member to list " action finds the specific list which needs to be updated via a series of string which like a GUID, such as, the 'd93736a8fd'. The " Add member to list " action UI just translate it into a friendly name within Dynamic content tab.

So you could fill in the List id for a list in the “List id” field of the action “Add member to list”, you couldn’t fill in the List name to get the list.

You could get a List id from a successfully run details of “Add member to list” action, as Add memder to list “alice”’s screenshots below:

Click the Show more, you could see the List ID of the list “alice”.

You could use the List ID above as value of your variable, add choose the dynamic content of variable in the “List Id” field.

The flow would run successfully as below:
