EMAIL HEADER DETAILS

Hello

I am presently using vba in outlook to extract details from the email header of inbound emails to my inbox. I then forward the mail with the updated details to another folder that triggers a flow based on these details.

unfourtantly i can no longer use rules to run the script in outlook.

I am wondering if it is possible to extract the same data with a new element in the triggered flow.

Re: EMAIL HEADER DETAILS

Hi @maxx,

Could you provide more details about your needs?

If you want to get the subject of the email you received, you could use When an email arrives as the trigger, and Dynamic content-Subject it outputs can be obtained and used.

If you want to get the Body of the email, you could use Html to text to get the body content, then use WDL function to extract the corresponding information.

Please provide more details about your requirements and which should be helpful for me to share a further suggestion.

Best Regards,

Barry

Re: EMAIL HEADER DETAILS

Hi @maxx,

Do you want to extract the content contained in the email? Subject or body?

Could you provide a template for specific email content?

Also, I don't particularly understand "redirect the email to the correct department based on the location the email was sent from". Could you provide more detailed explanations?

Please provide more details.

Best Regards,

Barry

Re: EMAIL HEADER DETAILS

I have the same question.

We don't need access to any of the existing dynamic fields, we need full access to the email "Header".  This is visible in the email component.

I can see email headers as on Output (it's above the email body) in the "When a new email arrives" component.  (this is when viewing a flow that has already run).  I just can't find a way to access the header values through the "Dynamic Content".

Is there any way to access the header values in an O365 Email based component.

Thanks,

Dan

Ditto

I get a lot of emails from salesforce.com, for example, and the 'from' field does not allow accurate identification, however the x-header field x-sender domain is consistent (*.salesforce.com).  would be appreciated if the headers were exposed in dynamic content.
