im trying to edit the request number(Anforderungsnummer) manually after my last action ( sending e-mail 2). The previous actions will update the requeststatus for every uploaded and accepted request and send an email to the next person. This person has to add/edit the request number after the previous actions but i dont know how to do it. I want the person to edit the requestnumber and MicrosoftFlow to update the requestnumber in the list and send an email with the updated number to another person. Does anybody know how to do it ? I have tried several methods but they only work for 1 request. As soon as i upload several requests at a different time, the flow only runs for 1 request or sends emails with the requestnumber 0. It would be better if the Flow-Team could add a modify action for items and not only a trigger and why does the creation of a new item, trigger the When an existing item is modified trigger ? Thats the problem i have and its making editing/modifiying items nearly impossible, cause as soon as i upload another request the When an existing item is modified trigger gets triggered 😞
About the issue that the creation of a new item triggers the When an existing item is modified trigger, this has been the current behavior for the past year. We will rename the action to “When a new item is created or modified” in a few weeks.
About that when there are multiple requests the flow won't work, did you mean the below part of flow won't work?
Please upload a screenshot about the detailed configuration of the part that has problem if possible.
Hello @v-monli-msft Mona,
my problem begins after the sending an e-mail 2 part. The mail includes the link and the ID of the request for the following user who has to add the request number manually. After he added the request number which in this case would be a second modification of the request, i want Microsoft Flow to check if the Item/Request was succesfully modified, update the Item/Request and send out an email to the next person which includes the request number. Flow should do that for any request uploaded at any time, but the second "When an existing Item is modified trigger" gets triggered as soon as i upload a second or more request.
Sending an E-Mail 2 --> Right now the user should add the request number, but not immediately. If he wants he can do it in 1,2,3,4,... minutes/hours/days/months later --> as soon as the request number of the item in the list was added --> update item --> send out an E-mail with the request number in subject/body
