Email attachment to populate sharepoint list

Hello, I am trying to create a flow where it will grab an excel attachment from an email take the content within the attachment and populate a sharepoint list. Is this possible?

The excel attachment will always be a standardized template of data, so there will never be a variable amount of columns.

Thanks!

Yes - this is possible.

You will use:

  • When a new email arrives trigger (set to include attachments and only with attachments)
  • Office 365 Outlook Get Attachment trigger (this will put you in a loop)
  • Excel for Business List Rows present in a table
  • SharePoint Create item action (loop though the rows)

You'll also need some logic to determine if this is an email with an file that should be processed.

Give it a try and post a copy of your Flow here if you have questions.

We are actually looking at using a powerapps form instead. Current flow is below, it created the line with the associated ID, however did not input the data within the excel into this list. Pictures attached!
