Hi,
We have two questions.
#1
We have a flow built and running which sends an email to a requester when they have submitted a report.
The flow email content looks correct. However, when the flow runs and the email is received the content has no line breaks and it is run together.
How can i correct this so that the email looks correct when it is received?
#2
In our list we have a column labeled ASSIGNED TO. In our flow we have a variable for ASSIGNED TO. The flow works fine but when the email that the flow sends goes out the ASSIGNED to is showing with the names runing together. Is there anyway to correct this? Also is there anyway to have it list first then last name?

Hi @feilda, what action are you using to send the email? I suspect it is that your email is not set to be HTML format, but if you can please provide a screenshot then we can pin point the issue straight away.
Hi @feilda,
Please following these steps:
1. Click the Code view button "</>" turn to Html mode.
2. Paste the HTML template provided by @MattWeston365, please noticed that each "<p>" will have a </p> to match, no more or less.
The email I received:

I will try to set as HTML and see if that does it. Thanks.
OK i tried making it html? Yes and here is what i got. The content is all run together
Then i tried say HTML? NO and here is what i get. It is better but still running lines together
This is what the actual email looks like in the flow we built
@feilda thanks for posting that.
With that version of the Send an Email action, you need to manually put the HTML into the email body if you want to format it in that way. That has been resolved with Send an Email (V2) which will automatically put the HTML formatting in without you putting all of your tags in.
We tried using the v2 initially and that did not work for various reasons. Can you share with me what i need to do to put the tags in for this version?
Sure thing.
It would look something like this:
<p>Hi</p> <p>CHS Data Team has assigned the following data report request to the next step in development as noted below.</p> <p>Name of Data Report Request: [[YOUR DYNAMIC CONTENT HERE]]</br> Contact Person: [[YOUR DYNAMIC CONTENT HERE]]</br> Data Team Member Assigned: [[YOUR DYNAMIC CONTENT HERE]]</br> Start of: Data Design Phase</p>
In HTML, paragraphs have a <p> to open the paragraph, and a </p> to close it. This will put a bit of white space between the blocks of text. If you want just a carriage return, then you would use </br> to move to the next line.
If you want to try out your HTML before you put it into your email, you can use the W3C Schools website, as it has some good tutorials on using HTML.
https://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp
thanks i have used this type of formatting in another application and will try this.
well i tried tried the html add ins and here is what i got
Hi @feilda have you turned the format back to HTML?
You also need to ensure that at the start of your paragraph, you have a <p> tag. This will start the paragraph, and then </p> will finish it.
added your suggestion but no change.
