Email content triggers calendar invitation

Hi there-

I am trying to build a flow whereby the following occurs:

- A very specific sender sends an email to my outlook account AND

- If the body of the message includes the word "hospital" or "hospitalization", then a calendar event is automatically created 7 days from the date of the email.

Does that seem possible?

Thanks!

Hi @rlv

Yes, that is a Compose, I have just named it that way.

Re: Email content triggers calendar invitation

Hi @rlv , thank you for posting your issue.

It is entirely possible (like most things in Flow) and here is how I have got it working.

Full Flow overview.

Capture-253.png

Now, let's build it. Start with the below, add your parameters to suit:Capture-254.png

Now onto capturing the body text and stripping out the HTML.Capture-255.png

Now split every word contained in the body to an individual word:Capture-256.png

split(body('Html_to_text'), ' ')

Now onto an apply to each that includes a condition:Capture-257.png

and to finish it off, outwith the "Apply to each" use "Create event (V2)" as below:Capture-258.png

Subject:

addDays(utcNow(),7,'MM-dd-yyy')

Start time:

addDays(utcNow(),7,'MM-dd-yyy')

End time:

addDays(utcNow(),8,'MM-dd-yyy')

Please change the above to suit your date format, event title etc but this starts a calendar event called "Appointment 03-07-2019" based on todays date.

Re: Email content triggers calendar invitation

Hi @AlanPs1 -

Thank you for your quick reply. I have everything set up, but cannot seem to select "Compose Split Text"; I am only able to find a "Compose" action. How did you get these specific action?

Thank you again!

Hi @rlv

Now that you are using compose and naming them as in my guide, has this solved your problem?

Re: Email content triggers calendar invitation

Hi all-

I have another question.

Using the same scenario from the original post, how would I do the following:

- The body of the calendar would include content from the email which triggered the flow.

Thank you!
