Email notification certificate expiry - Condition - 'is equals to' doesn't trigger a notification but 'is less than' works

Hi there,

My objective is to build a flow to send email notifications 60 days prior to the expiry of the certificate date. So far I have got it to work but the issue I'm having now is everyday i will get an email sent. Currently the condition is set to 'Is less than' 60 days - but what I really want (I think anyway) is 'Is equal to' 60 days. But when I select this it doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Please see the images and let me know your thoughts.

Thanks so much.

Hello,

Thanks for the reply.

The certificates get entered via the list and the person who enters them enters an expiry date - so when you say  formatDateTime('yourdate', 'yyyy-MM-dd' - 'YOUR DATE' which date would that be in the flow? Can you give me an example? In my previous example I used 'addDays(utcNow(), 60)'.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi @Anonymous

If it prior then -60 (minus 60).

One the left hand side you need to map with your Dynamic date data.

Thanks

Hello,

I tried both approaches but no joy sadly. I suppose my work around would be for me to suggest to have a notification to be sent once a week rather than daily so people don't get annoyed with all the emails of all the expired items.

I went back to using 'less than' but now instead of returning one entry of each expired certificate, I'm getting the same entry twice - two emails for the same item.  Any ideas why?

Thanks so much.

Hi @Anonymous ,

It seems that you are using the old template to configure Flow.

Now, we could not use advanced mode in Condition.

And if you have configured Filter array to filter records, you need to use the output from the Body of Filter array to configure Send an email action.

You should remove Apply to each 2 and Condition and using expression to get link to item.

Hope this helps.
