Email to Dropbox Update File

Below if my flow, which partially works.  It will update files from email, but it puts the content of the attachment from one file in all three documents.  I receive three emails with .csv attachments that I want it to move/update in Dropbox separately.  I've tried some other copy file overwrite flows, but can't get them to work either.

On New Email - processes the new email appropriately from Outlook.

Condition - Apply To Each

Drop Box - Update File 1

            File - /filename1.csv

            File Content - Attachements Content

Drop Box - Update File 2

            File - /filename2.csv

            File Content - Attachements Content

Drop Box - Update File 3

            File - /filename3.csv

            File Content - Attachements Content

Hi @Bwalters613 ,

Could you share a screenshot of your current flow?

Do you want to update existing files when a new email arrives with corresponding attachment content?

I have set up the flow likes below for your scenario, please check it.

Best regards,

Yes, I want each email attachment (file) to update its corresponding file in Dropbox automatically.  I will try what you have here, but am not sure I understand it perfectly. Not sure how to post my screenshot as it wants me to put in a link - I can't just paste the screenshot.

Sorry, I keep trying, but the option you list in your screenshot don't appear for me. When you list a step for Dropbox with Body, I don't have that option.  In my Apply To Each, Outlook Get Attachment wants Message ID and Attachment ID items entered - yours doesn't show that.

This is what I have, and it doesn't have same options as yours unless something in here is wrong or needs changed.

Hi @Bwalters613 ,

Please check the detailed screenshot of the flow:

1.PNG

After the action list files in folder, add a Condition and set it to:

Attachment is equal to DisplayName

At here, an Apply to each2 will be added automatically.

Then under the If yes branch, add action Update file to update corresponding file with the attachment content.

Note: dynamic content Body from action Get attachment.

Best regards,

Mabel

I'm sorry to be stupid, but I simply don't understand.  When I try to do what you show, I don't get the same options or layout that you show.

If I try to add the Condition like you mention, I still don't get the same options.  The missing link here in the 'Dropbox' and 'Body' in Apply to each 2. It's simply not an option anywhere - what am I not putting in above to get that as an option?

Okay, after just trying a dozen options, I get what you have.  However, I get an error when replicating your flow.

"The template validation failed: 'The inputs of template action 'Get_attachment' at line '1 and column '1781' is invalid. Action 'Apply_to_each_2' must be a parent 'foreach' scope of action 'Get_attachment' to be referenced by 'repeatItems' or 'items' functions.'."

Okay, sorry for all the posts...so I created it all from scratch again, instead of from a template.  I have the three Unread emails in my Inbox. I test the flow from Office 365 Outlook, and it says successful on all steps.  However, my files in Dropbox have not updated or changed.  They are the same that I saved their manually this morning.

Anyone?

Can you still help, or someone else?  The flow says it works successfully, but it doesn't do anything. No attachments are moved to Dropbox.
