Error 429

I have had my flow running smoothly and perfectly for some time, however I am getting the error 429. Could anyone help?

It says: "Too many requests sent to the service", however there is usally only 6 or 7 a day. I know these are pushed hourly however I cant seem to fix the issue.

Re: Error 429

Faced the same issue today. Everything worked fine before for few months, Flow wasn't modified. E-mail is on Office 365.

Re: Error 429

Hi murazak-msft,

Could you show me your flow configuration to help reproduce this issue on my side?

What’s the trigger of the flow? And what are the actions?

Does the error message happen to the trigger or the actions?

Best regards,
Mabel Mao

Re: Error 429

Hi All,

The issue you are running into is that too many calls are going out from your flow to the Office365Users connector and you are hitting the limits on it.

Please reduce the number of calls being made in the flow.

Best regards,
Mabel Mao

Re: Error 429

I have also been experiencing this same issue within the past two weeks for flows which were running fine previously. The errors seem to be happening on flows with connectors to Office 365 Mail. I, too, am interested to know how to find out about the limits and where I can even go to find the amount of calls being made.

Re: Error 429

I started experiencing the same issue in the last couple of days. Is there some way to figure out why this started happening or to undo it or to see how long the throttle period is?

Re: Error 429

Same issue here - exactly as described by the other posters.  Working fine for a couple of months and then around 11/1 my flow started failing with the error mentioned.  The flow only processes 1-2 emails per day.  Anyone have a fix for this?

I no longer have the problem, but I did not do anything...

Re: Error 429

I am still experiencing this about 50% of the time. I have an open ticket with Microsoft Support, so maybe they can shed some light on what is happening.

Re: Error 429

My ticket with Microsoft was closed/resolved and I haven't seen the issue in a few days. The diagnosis from the engineer I worked with was: This issue occurred due to throttling enforced on the Exchange side. It was not specific to your account as many other users were affected.

If you are still experiencing issues, I recommend opening a ticket with Microsoft - it was more efficient than I would have given them credit for :).

Re: Error 429

I didnt' change anything in my flow, but the issue seems to have been resolved for me.  My flows are completing successfully now. I do wish I knew what was causing the error so that I could prevent it in the future.

Re: Error 429

I know that this is a bit of an old issue., but the problem still exists.

The 429 error means that your hitting SharePoint throttling errors. Hence the problem will go away and come back whenever your SharePoint environment is busy

During my recent battles I have written some posts about these issues whcih hopefully will help you
