Error: Cell contains a formula and not a value

Hi!

I am new to Flow but are exited for the possibility’s. My first use is to log my workhours from the flow app by buttons into excel. I have 2 buttons that work, "log timestamp" and "log absence".

But I would like to add two more who I can’t get to work.

The first is to display my current overtime which it calculated in Excel, Flow complains that the cell contains a formula and not a value. Tried to get around it but no success.

The second is to remove the latest entered row. If I maybe logged a timestamp but work some extra hours and want to redo the timestamp. I have a formula in the excel sheet which contains the correct PowerID but same problem as before. The cell contains a formula and not a value.

Can anyone think of workarounds for this?

Many thanks!!

Re: Error: Cell contains a formula and not a value

Hi @ Sabel,

Could you please share a screenshot of the configuration of your flow?

Could you please explain more details about your requirement?

Please share more details so we could provide a proper workaround for you.

Re: Error: Cell contains a formula and not a value

So the Flow "Infoga rad" insert row works fine. It inserts todays date and a timestamp. Then the excel workbook, se dropbox link, calculates my current overtime when I check out for the day.

But if I want to see the current overtime I must open the workbook. Not a big task but it would be nice to ha a Flowbutton for it. Press it and get a notifikation, something like ”Current overtime 05:32”. And the time it would get from a specific cell in the excel workbook.

The next problem.

If I do a wrong timestamp, maybe use the wrong Flowbutton, I would like to be able to delete the latest row with the touch of a Flowbutton. I have a cell in the workbook with the PowerappID for the latest row. So something like, “delete the row with the PowerappID you find here”

Did you solve the overtime notification issue?

No, Flow still wont "read" a forumula in excell. 😕

(Jag använder Office 360 excel app ist för att läsa det direkt i filen)
