Error on condition after "Start an Approval"

I get these errors just after the Start an Approval. This is in the condition just after "Start an Approval" ActionFailed. An action failed. No dependent actions succeeded. This is in the Yes branch. I have several other Update Items before this and they work just fine. Update item 3  InvalidTemplate. Unable to process template language expressions in action 'Update_item_3' inputs at line '1' and column '2629': 'The template language expression 'body('Update_item')['Title']' cannot be evaluated because property 'Title' cannot be selected. Re: Error on condition after "Start an Approval"

So in reivewing the section that @v-yamao-msft suggested.  I noticed that it would give me choices to choose from when I added Update item action. I always noticed them, but I didn't think it mattered what I choose, but apparently it does.  I was choosing the required fields from an Update item action that had a terminate at the end of the branch, so those values were not being carried through and resulting in NULL and since they were required fields, they could not be blank.  When I went back I thought I will use the required fields from Update item 2 instead and see what happens.....BOOM it worked!  I got all the emails I was supposed to.

I have attached a picture hoping this may help other begginers like me.12-27-2018 9-09-23 AM.png

Re: Error on condition after "Start an Approval"

Anyone?  Should I just start the entire Flow from scratch?

Re: Error on condition after "Start an Approval"

Hi @MRC1234,

It seems that the error comes from action Update item 3.

How is the action Update items 3 configured? The error message says that Title cannot be selected, what’s the value you specified for the Title field?

So there is no need to restart the flow from scratch, just correct the function used in the Title field.

Hope it could be your reference.

Best regards,

Mabel
