Escalation Reminders for expired items

Hello everybody,

I am trying to build this flow, scheduled to run daily:

IF

item in sharepoint list (column "Status") is "opened"

and

today>item date (column "Date")+4d

THEN

send email to name in column "Name1"

ELSE IF

item in sharepoint list (column "Status") is "opened"

and

today>item date (column "Date")+8d

THEN

send email to name in column "Name1"+name in column "Name2"

I've been struggling for 2 days but I cannot get the hang of it!

Please help!

@GT78

  • Initialize  2 variables, vDays, vRecipients
  • Get items from your SharePoint list using Filter on Status eq 'opened'
  • Set vDays to calculate the difference in days between today and the date column using this Calculate Difference in Days
  • create a control if greaterorequals(vday,8) then set vRecipient to Name1;Name2
  • if no, create another control if greaterOrEquals(vDays,4) then set vRecipient to Name1 only
  • else do nothing
  • last step is to send the email using the vRecipient

Thanks a lot for you help!

I understand the logic of what you wrote, only I am new at Power Automate; would you please tell me

1 - how to initialize a variable?

2- how do I create a control IF-THEN?

Thanks a lot, this is very precious to me!
