Excel to HTML to Mail with attachments

Hello !

As a new member might ask questions just for the simplest...

So,

I am trying to build an automation that goes like that:

SharePoint excel file has a table (Name: TBL1) that contain various columns.

This table has a column named Shipment number (with unique values) and a column named Forwarding agent.

Further there is a SharePoint folder that contains .pdf files titled with the shipment number, (hint: each pdf file has a 1-1 relationship with each row from the TBL1)

What is needed is, to Schedule this flow to run everyday and do the following:

  • Filter the TBL1 to get only data for a Forwading agent, not all of them.
  • Create an html table that displays all these filtered rows from TBL1
  • Create an email to the Forwading agent and display the above html table
  • Attach all the .pdf files that their Names are equal to the shipment numbers of the html table

I have tried something like this but I doubt that Im on the right track

I would be glad if you could provide some guidance ‌‌

Cheers

DimitrisL.

Hi @DimitriL,

Here are steps.

1. Use List rows present in a table action + filter query to find out rows that column ForwardingAgent equals 'Yes', the column name in the Excel table is ForwordingAgent, I recommend you name the column too, it will easy to use Filter array.

2. Create HTML table, you could set custom columns;

3. Initialize an array variable to hold files content and name;

4. Get file content with these file names and append them to the array variable, the file content should be convert to base64 code if they will sent as attachments:

base64(outputs('Get_file_content_using_path')?['body'])

5. Send Email, HTML table put in Email body, array variable put in attachment.

Hi @DimitriL,

Yes, it is possible to do that if Shipment numbers are unique values.

I will post the steps in my next post.
