Export data from sql server to excel sheet in Sharepoint

Hi Dears,

I need to export data from table in sql server to excel sheet placed in SharePoint Location.

The flow should run daily and replace the previous day excel file with the updated data.

hi @cyberco01  what you need to do first is create the excel file with a table and headers that could be used to storage your corresponding coumns from SQL.

 

To start your flow you need to use the trigger Schedule then you can see lots of configs about runing flow in a period of time.

Then you can use SQL conector to get rows from sql server and to end you need to use the action insert row in a table (excel) to save all your data collected from sql server conector get rows.

Kindly help me with an example or images as i am completely new to this.

Online reference with similar example will be helpful too.

Hi @ChristianAbata ,

I tried the same.

Created an excel with rows similar to sql table.

Did the step Get rows > Add row into a table - in this step i filled the location, document library, file, for field table i am not getting any option in the table drop down of flow. on clicking the custom fields i get the column names as in SQL. I select one and it gets as a loop.

@cyberco01  oh  this is because you need to create a table inside excel that contains the headers of the columns you need to populate.

Hi @ChristianAbata,

I tried the solution. My SQL Table has around 3000 rows or more.

The job is not completed yet. It is 4 hours and only 1000 rows are only updated.

Kindly advice.
