Hi,

I would like to send an email to someone listed in a SharePoint list if a condition is achieved.  I get always the same error.  It looks like it is linked to the transfer of the value or object.  It's not clear for me.

May you help?

Hi thank you for the tip.

Unfortunately I still have the same bug if I use "value".  But if I replace it by "Assign To"/email, it works.  So it is solved currently! Thank you for the support.

What is your condition for the date part? Are you trying to get items that were created today, modified in the last month, etc.?

 

A better approach would be to use the Filter Query within your Get items, so it only returns items that match your criteria. Then an Apply to each that iterates over each of the items returned and email sent. See example below.

Thank you for your support I appreciate.  Unfortunately I've still an issue.

This time I've done the query as you suggest.  Only on "Status" column.  An error occurs directly.

The list has some calculated fields, I've read that it can create some troubles but I'm not sure.

Do you have any other error message? I can't see anything wrong with your Filter Query. I'm assuming your Status column is a Choice column and has an internal name of Status.

 

Is the date part of your filter (that you still need to apply) using a calculated column?

I've attached the "status" column information.

 

Is the date part of your filter (that you still need to apply) using a calculated column?

For this test, I don't have used the calculated column "DueDate" so this shouldn't interfere.  Nevertheless, yes this column is calculated (see attachement) 

 

You'll need to check what the internal name of your Status column is. If you go back into your List settings and click on your Status column, you will see the internal name at the end of the URL. This is what you need to use in your Filter Query.

Because your data column is a calculated column, we can't use that in a Filter Query of Get items. So, you would firstly retrieve the data just using the Status condition, then use a Filter array to further filter with your date column.

Hi, it works! The field name is in fact field_11.  Nevertheless my initial issue is not solved and is documented in attachment.

Sorry for the late reply. You should only have a single Apply to each that contains your Send an email. You should be able to move your Send an email into the outer Apply to each, then delete the inner Apply to each 2.

Summer of Solutions | Week 3 Results | Win free tickets to the Power Platform Conference

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!    This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can.
