FTP to One Drive

Hi All,

I have created a flow to move a csv file > 50 mo from FTP to One Drive for Business.

I have used the following:

1 -  [FTP] / When a file is added or modified (properties only)

2 - [FTP] / Get file content

3 - [OD] / Creat file

The 1st and 2nd step works fine but I get an error message during the 3rd step:

InvalidTemplate. Unable to process template language expressions in action 'Create_file' inputs at line '1' and column '2643': 'The template language function 'body' cannot be used when the referenced action outputs body has large aggregated partial content. Actions with large aggregated partial content can only be referenced by actions that support chunked transfer mode.'.

Could you explain that to me? What's wrong. is this because the file is greater than 50 mo?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: FTP to One Drive

HI @Arnault_C

Yes! There is a 50MB limit on files and an idea is raised here to increase it. You can upvote the idea and add your comments as well:

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Flow-Ideas/Maximum-file-size-limit/idi-p/126501

Some connectors support bigger size in files and you can see the solved thread below to get more information in that regard:

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/General-Flow-Discussion/How-large-file-size-do-File-System-servi...

Hope this Helps!

Re: FTP to One Drive

Hi @yashag2255 ,

Thnaks for your help, however I found out there was an alternative (or maybe I misunderstand the purpose of it). Here its is : (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/connectors/connectors-create-api-ftp)

By default, FTP actions can read or write files that are 50 MB or smaller. To handle files larger than 50 MB, FTP actions support message chunking. The Get file content action implicitly uses chunking.

Is this is a potential solution?

Re: FTP to One Drive

Hi @Arnault_C

Yes. You can use chunking to get the larger file sizes. I would still recommend you go through the documentation here:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/logic-apps/logic-apps-handle-large-messages

and

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/connectors/connectors-create-api-ftp

To enable chunking. You will have to use the send and HTTP request action and in the settings enable chunking and then refer to the documentation (the first URL) to proceed further.

Hope this Helps!

Re: FTP to One Drive

Hi @yashag2255 ,

I have already read this documentation and I am not able to implement it. It sounds very complicated considering my limited skills. I will have to find an alternative. Thanks for your help anyway.
