Filtering data > sending filtered data for approval?

I'm trying to setup a workflow that:

  1. Filters data from an Excel spreadsheet
  2. Sends/emails the filtered data in an spreadsheet to an assigned person for approval

Is this possible?

Re: Filtering data > sending filtered data for approval?

Hi @Kdub86,

You could refer to screenshot below to create the flow:

Note:

You could filter the data in the condition with your expression.

The flow would run successfully as below:

You would receive the approval with filtered data as beow:

Please ley me know if your problem could be solved.

Best regards,

Alice

Thanks!

I got this error message:

  • The variable 'Filtered Data' of type 'Array' cannot be initialized or updated with value 'SMECO' of type 'String'. The variable 'Filtered Data' only supports values of types 'Array'.

Re: Filtering data > sending filtered data for approval?

Hi @Kdub86,

Could you please share a screenshot of the configuration of your flow?

The error message told that the value 'SMECO' of type 'String' can't be initialized or updated.

Please check if you have create the flow as me to append the array variable with Current item dyanmic content.

Or please update the type of the variable to String on your side to see if you requirement could be achieved.

Please let me know if your problem could be solved or share more details so we would try to provide a proper workaround for you.

Best regards,

Alice

Re: Filtering data > sending filtered data for approval?

I think I got it to work. However, the info is not formatted and that would defeat the purpose. How do I format the information within the approval email/websites so that it is easily readable?

Thanks
