Flow Approval multiple manager

Hi Team, Pretty New to Flow and my workspace want to dive in the flow feature, learning a lot and I will be here constantly reading and asking.

I am trying to create an approval flow for 4 managers, meaning I want to run a document or an item in a list to be approved by all 4 managers, NOT sequential but all at once, each manager gets notified on the status of approval of the other manager and save the response in a list .

Another related question is when that item is changed by one manager, it needs to notify the other 3 for approval if this is a word doc.

Thanks all and God bless you all.

Hi @Anonymous ,

It seems that if want to meet your needs, you could only use Start an approval action, and they will only see the approval results if they have completed the approval.

You could try to create your Flow by referring to the screenshot below.

  • Fill the manager's email in Assigned to field, separated by a semicolon.
  • Note that the principle of approval is that as soon as one of Approver selects Reject, the approval process ends.
  • Use HTML table to send the results to all managers.

As for the other question you mentioned, you could configure your Flow like this:

  • Fill all the manager's emails in a Compose action. Make sure the email addresses are correct and separated by semicolons.
  • Use Condition to determine whether the file is updated, and the file type needs to be word.
  • Use the replace() function to remove the email of the manager that changed the file.
  • Finally configure Approval action.

Expression reference:

replace(outputs('Compose'),triggerBody()?['Editor']?['Email'],'')

Please take a try.

HI @v-bacao-msft  So, this has not resolved my issue fully.

Yes, the Approve / Reject is working fine, all the approver receives an email and Approves, and if one rejects then the action is complete, which is fine.

Now the issue comes into updating the SharePoint item list, whatever the result is, the Approved column is picking a NO, regardless of whether it has been approved or not. is there a way to schedule kind of support with  Flow expert (a by the way)

what ever the response is, the answer stored in the list is a NO
