Flow Timeout on step returns a 'Failed' status

I am building a basic state machine for a proposal document library. Its running in a solution with a number of flows. One of the child flows has an approval step with a timeout.  If the approver doesn't respond in time, then it runs a parallel branch to return to the state machine, where it will restart another approval stage. The whole works fine, but the timeout is causing that flow to show as failed, even though from a logic point of view it has handled the error and continued successfully.  If it wasnt calling another child flow I know I could put in a terminate action with a success return code, but thats not an option.

Is there anyway I could have this return success.  The flow looks like this.

Hello, @AndyTuke1!

Even with the error handling option to run an action after it has timed out is it giving you a failed status?

Because you could try adding a control action and force a 'Succeeded' status with the run after configuration.

Let me know if this helps!

Cheers!

Thanks,

I did mention in my question why that wouldn't work. Its a child flow that calls another child flow so terminating will force a stop which isn't what I want
