Flow Trigger - "When Comment is made in Planner Task"?
There are triggers in FLow for when a Task is created in Planner, for when a Task is assigned "to me", and for when a Task is completed, but not for when a Task is changed or for when a comment is added.
This seems like an odd oversight by Microsoft.
Until they address that I was wondering if I could somehow work around the flaw by making use of the fact such an action - the ading of a comment to a task in Planner - generates an email to all assigns, in the Planner Task's conversation thread.
Does anyone know of a way to access the content of such an email, and get it into Flow?
Essentially, I'm using Flow to help maintain a report in Sharepoint anbout Planner Tasks.
I have one Flow that triggers off the creation of a Planner Task, and that scrapes all the data and sticks it in a Sharepoint list.
On completion of that Planner Task, another Flow updates therelevant row in the Sharepoint list.
My current problem is that I have no way of reporting on the comments/actions taken within the Planner Task.
Thanks for your feedback, the "When comment is added in Planner task" trigger is not supported in Planner connector of Microsoft Flow currently, if you would like this feature to be added in Microsoft Flow, please submit an idea to Flow Ideas Forum:
If you want to access the content of an email, I think the Parserr connector could achieve your needs. More details about how to extract Email data using Parserr connector, please check the following article:
