Flow apply to each slow performance

Hi, I have a Flow that is triggered from a PowerApps button. It's not anything complicated.

  • A GetItems request returns some SharePoint List Items from a list, not any more than 15 items currently.
  • An Apply to each control step is used to loop around each item
  • An item is updated using the Update Item step

This is causing a time out on PowerApps because it's taking more than 90 seconds

When I look at the Flow it's saying that the Apply to each step is taking more than a minute for 11 records! When you look through each of the steps in the loop (There are 10 in total) most are showing 0s with one or two showing 1s. I know it's not an exact science, but that would suggest this shouldn't take anymore than about 30s to loop through these records.

Any suggestions to what is going on?
Is it possible to increase the timeout of a PowerApps Flow button?

Re: Flow apply to each slow performance

Some ways to improve the performance. Avoid variables.
Also avoid functions. You could use functions in a select action and use the output of the select to feed the apply to each.
