Flow for Entire Folder Filled with Files

Hello,

I am coming to an issue where I have to click on each file (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and individually apply the flow that I created to each of them. Is it possible to make it so that I can use the flow on the folder instead, which will effect all of the files at once?

Thank you and kind regards,

Noman

Hi @Anonymous ,

What's your trigger? What you trying to do once it triggered?

If you could explain more about your requirements that will be helpful.

Thanks

Re: Flow for Entire Folder Filled with Files

Hi @abm,

I am currenlty sending out approval requests to specified reviewers, however the process is really tedious to do for each individual file. I was wondering if I can make the process go faster if I can use the flow for entire folder instead. I tried right clicking the root folder however I don't see the option as I do when I right click on an individual file. Here is an attached image of what I am currently doing for each individual file.

Thank you and kind regards,

Noman

Re: Flow for Entire Folder Filled with Files

Hi @Anonymous ,

Thanks for your quick response.

Could you try configuring a gateway connector to access a folder and set the trigger as when ever a file is created or modified? Is that going to work?

Hi @Anonymous

Please see the screenshot below. I am assuming that it is a SharePoint Library that you are referring to. Tah.PNG

If you have the reviewrs as metadata in the file library, you can refer to that column name in the send email action for the TO input.

Hope this Helps!

Re: Flow for Entire Folder Filled with Files

Hi @Anonymous ,

You could use List folder action to get the files in the specified folder, then traversing these files for approval.

You need to adjust the degree of Parallelism of Apply to each to the maximum, so that it can execute multiple approval at the same time.

Hope it helps.
