Flow run timed out because the starting action was not performed

Hi, i'm hanging on that!

The "When there is a new event" on a shared calendar doesn't seems to work.

If on the same Group Site i make a flow to get the new/modified "elements" of a list it works regularly, catch the creation of an element and send (for example) an email.

If instead i create an event on the shared calendar (selecting the Group ID listed), i get the timeout, like it has never been created!

I even tried to create a new shared calendar (thinking there's something wrong with permissions - because it was created from another user), but with the same result: CAN'T CATCH THE EVENT!

Please help

Thanks

I've found the solution by myself.

Just type the exact name of the calendar directly into the trigger "When an element is created or modified", even if it doesn't appears automatically in the selectbox for the selected Group.

That's all.

Hello @fabfisc ,

In your trigger action, please change the connection settings to be used as the shared calendar instead of your own connection. This should trigger the flow fine.

Example:

flow creator: admin@something.onmicrosoft.com

Calendar owner: danj@something.onmicrosoft.com

If you want the flow to trigger when a new event is created or modified on danj's calendar, then change the connection settings to point to correct individual user account calendar, as shown below:

In next flow steps, you can change the connection settings to admin@something.onmicrosoft.com to let the flow execute other steps using the admin's user account.

I hope this helps !

Thanks for your reply, but the email is only an ALIAS, there's no password configured.

I've also put my email account as group administrator, but without success.

What other specific test can i make to exclude that it's not a permission issue?

Is there a workaround?
I'm struggling hard but cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel...🙄

Thanks

Fab
