Flow that archives folders based on name and date created

Hi,

I'm trying to build a flow that would archive folders based on folder name and creation date. For example:

Current folder > Folder 1 > FolderY

Current folder > Folder 2 > FolderX

Current folder > Folder 3 > FolderZ

Should go in corresponing folders at Archive:

Archive > Folder 1 > FolderY

Archive > Folder 2 > FolderX

Archive > Folder 3 > FolderZ

This should be done when the folder is created more than 3 months ago. If not they should stay at Current folder.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Re: Flow that archives folders based on name and date created

Hi @nikola_bgd ,

Could you please explain more details about your requirement?

How to understand that archive folders based on folder name?

Are those folders in your sharepoint library?

Does the folder that you mentioned created more than 3 months ago is Folder or FolderY in the Current folder?

If those folders that you mentioned are saved in the sharepoint library, have you take a try with copy folder action to achieve your needs?

Please explain more details so we would try to provide a proper workaround for you.

Best regards,

Alice

Re: Flow that archives folders based on name and date created

Hi,

Maybe renaming will make it easier to understand:

Current situation:

Employees > Employee 1 > Employee data 1
                                          > Employee data 2

                                          > Employee data 3 (3+ months old)

Employees > Employee 2 > Employee data 1 (3+ months old)
                                          > Employee data 2 (3+ months old)

                                          > Employee data 3

The folders should move to archive and the structure should look like this:

Archive > Employee 1 > Employee data 3 (3+ months old)

Archive > Employee 2 > Employee data 1 (3+ months old)
                                    > Employee data 2 (3+ months old)

After the move the original folder should be left with newer items and look like this:

Employees > Employee 1 > Employee data 1
                                          > Employee data 2

Employees > Employee 2 > Employee data 3
