Flow that sends an email 30 days before a date is due...

I am at complete loss... I have tried to create a flow from a SharePoint List that has a column called Renewal Date.

I will like to send an email to an email 30 days before the Renewal Date.

I am failing miserably.

Will you be able to help me in how to design this?

I am either failing to trigger the 30 days for an email or I cannot type the correct expression and my flow fails.

What expression will be better suited?

Any help will be appreciated.

Kind Regards!

It would be better to have a Filter Query within your Get items, so it only returns items that are due in 30 days. Then, you don't need a condition in your Apply to each as all items returned are due.

See full flow below. I'll go into each of the actions.

Recurrence would be whatever you have now.

Get items retrieves all your items where the Due Date is equal to the current date 30 days from now. The expression used to add 30 days to today's date is below.

formatDateTime(addDays(utcNow(), 30), 'yyyy-MM-dd')

In my example, the Due Date columns is named DueDate - you would just need to change this to the internal name of your column. You can paste this expression directly into the Filter Query field.

DueDate eq '@{formatDateTime(addDays(utcNow(), 4), 'yyyy-MM-dd')}'

You can then use Apply to each to iterate over all the items and send your email.
