Hi there
I got a flow that sends an email to a forms sheet when an outlook appointment is made.
Then the results of the forms sheet are written into a excel spreadsheet together with other data from the appointment ( Date, time, Account Info)
Sometimes it works just fine but sometimes it fails without an error message.
The result is no email to the forms link is sent or no entry in the excel sheet is made.
Futher I got some calculations in the excel sheet for the forms data that sends an email with the results as my next action.
About every fourth time i run the flow the calculation is missing or deleted from excel and the last action sends an email with zero as a result or the number i put in the forms without calculating it.
This gets really frustrating because it works flawless half of the time and there is no error message.
Thanks for your help.

hi @Dan47 you can try adding a delay action with 5 seconds before the excel writing action.

Hi All
What also helped was using a Sharepoint list instead of Excel.

Thanks for the answer.
This works for the emails, but the excel sheet is not filled with the details.
What could be the problem here?
There is no error.
Thanks
Hello Dan47,
There should be no logic errors or connector issue in your flow since 'About every fourth time i run the flow the calculation is missing or deleted from excel and the last action sends an email with zero as a result or the number i put in the forms without calculating it.'
I share the same idea with Christian to create a delay function between your making appointment and sending mails for troubleshooting. In addition, could you send more details on your 'Flow times out with no error' if the delay doesn't help. I wonder how long the timeout would last.
Hello @Johnnyg
Thanks for your reply.
The flow times out and doesn't resume. That makes me suggest that something is wrong with the previous steps.
Here is the whole flow for better understanding:
Here is a branch, this is the left side for the forms answers
This is the right side, that checks if the form is filled and sends an email again if not.
Christian's solution with the delay function helped with the email sending error.
What I still cant figure out is the above excel add a row action. It doesn't fail with an error but the excel remains empty.
How would you troubleshoot a flow that doesn't work with excel?
Thanks for looking into it.
Kind Regards
