Flow to Excel - Blank rows?

Hello,

The attached flow works as intended - It writes all the tasks and their status to an excel file.

However, it also creates many rows that are entirely blank except for the __PowerAppsId__ field. The number of these rows seems to increase as more tasks are added to planner.

Any ideas for how to prevent these endless blank rows form being written?

Re: Flow to Excel - Blank rows?

I believe I have found the solution: I had created blank rows in the table prior to running the flow. But my flow inserts additional rows, so the flow was assigning IDs to the blank rows.

Re: Flow to Excel - Blank rows?

Hi @NoahSutton,

Could you share more details on the results? What do you mean by “many rows that are entirely blank except for the _PowerAppsId_ field”?

When working with Excel table, column _PowerAppsId_ will be added automatically. But I am not sure with other blanks you mentioned.

I have made a similar flow to test this issue, it doesn’t return the issue you mentioned.

Please share more details for better understanding.

Best regards,

Mabel

Re: Flow to Excel - Blank rows?

Hi Mabel,

When writing to the spreadsheet it produces hundreds of rows like this.

The bottom two in the photo have the information I want, but the rest I wish to filter out or otherwise not write to the excel sheet.

Thanks!
