Flow to Update SharePoint List When Action Expired

Hi All,

Looking for some help, I have a flow that I have created than on the submission of data in a Sharepoint List it automatically triggers the action "send email with options". I have been able to configure the flow that after X period of time that original email expires and sends a new email with options.

What I cannot figure out is how to, on the the email expiring to update the SharePoint list in a column named status with an expression such as "Reminder Email 1 sent".

Does anyone have any tips?

Hi @felljay,

Could you please share a screenshot of your flow's configuration?

Could you please show more details about your SharePoint list?

I have made a test on my side and please take a try with the following workaround:

    • Add a "When an item is created" trigger, specify Site Address and List Name.
    • Add a "Send email with options" action, click "Menu" button-> Settings option to configure the timeout for this action. I assume that you want to configure the timeout of this action as two days, the screenshot as below:1.JPG
    • Add a "Update item" action,  specify Site Address and List Name. Id field set to ID dynamic content of the trigger, Title field set to Title dynamic content of the trigger. Status field set to "Reminder Email 1 sent". Click "Menu" button-> Configure run after option, within the "Update item" should run after panel, select "has timed out" option as below:2.JPGNote: The Status column is a Single line of text type column in my SharePoint list.

The flow works successfully as below:4.JPG
