Is it possible to set up a flow which will check other user's mailboxes for unread emails without requiring the other user's password ?
Scenario:
1) Service user created which is then given read access to other user's mailboxes
2) Service user flow runs daily and checks each user's mailbox for unread emails
3) If there are any unread emails the Service user sends a notification email to another address
I've been able to set this up for each individual user but hit against the flows breaking every time there is a password change and without the user's new password the flow cannot be fixed (these other users are not tech-savvy so getting them to fix their own connections poses issues). This needs to be seamless to the end user.
My logic is that if the Service user account has the appropriate permissions, the other user's password would not be required but I cannot figure out how to get a flow to check another user's mailbox without a connection for the other user (which needs both login and password).
Is this possible ?
Cheers, Steve.
It might be possible, but only if that other user has given you full permissions to their mailbox.
Many thanks @Pstork1 I can set the permissions in Admin Centre (read and manage, send as, send on behalf), but I'm not sure how the Service user flow could connect to the mailbox without the 'other' user connection. Does anyone have any ideas ?
