Flow to do once-off copy of all items in one list to anther

I have a fully working Flow that copies items from two lists in two other lists.

"Company Details" list (SOURCE)  ---> "AGENTS_Company Details" list (TARGET).

"Critical Dates" list (SOURCE) ---> "AGEBTS_Company Details' list (TARGET).

Note: The two lists have a shared 'Lookup Column' linking details between them.

I am doing this because we don't want 'agents' to have access to the original list (which sits in a Team Group' that we don't want the Agents to have access to.

The flow looks like this

My issue is this - the number of items in each list (SOURCE & TARGET) do not match following the flow execution. Surely they should be identical? No?

Aha! This might do the trick.

How to change Microsoft Flow’s default limit of 100 items for “Get Items” and “Get Rows” actions

Weird how you have to manually set these settings. Let me know if this helps!

Move each 'Create item' action into the preceding 'Apply to each' loops. When you Compose inside a loop, it really only exists for the one iteration of that loop. What you're doing here is overwriting each Compose however many times the Apply to each runs, so it really only saves the final iteration of it to be used outside the loop.

Do let me know if I'm misunderstanding your issue.

I notice the number cut off for the TARGET list seems to be 100? Is there a limit on how any items can be copied in a flow?

@abowen  I tried that and it makes no difference, the Flow only deals with the first 100 items in the list. There are only about 200 item rows in total. Each list takes 1 min to work.

Seems very odd behaviour to me, surely it should keep working through all items until it gets to the end of the list? No?

New flow... with nested apply to each statements...

You're right, there's no real reason for it to cut off at 100 unless there is an imposed limit.

It looks like you're copying items from two sets of lists in the same flow. Maybe try splitting those into separate flows and see if you get any further? Just a suggestion; again, I'm unsure why there would be a limitation on that. 100 iterations is not that resource intensive.

Very weird indeed, all the information copies across perfectly, but it stops at 100 items in both lists.

SOURCE Count

TARGET Count

Happens irrespective of whether I copy both Lists in one Flow or run them as two separate Flows.

Anyone else have any ideas why this behaviour?

Both lists are relatively small with less than 200 items each, but for the Flow to stop at 100 makes it virtually useless to me - I am doing this manually just to get the two lists in sync and then wish to automate the flow on 'when item is created or modified' to have a direct copy of each list kept in sync.

Surely the kind of thing Flows were designed for?

Baffled...

@abowen YES! Correct that did the trick - thank you so much. Accepted as the solution. So simple when you know how. 🙂

So great to hear! I'm certain this will help me in the future too. Now if only we can remember it every time! 🤣
