Hi All,
I am working on a PowerAutomate flow which uses SharePoint list data to generate a word document based on a word template. I found solutions online but they aren't pretty convincing. Please see below.
1) Link - http://www.sharepointcorridor.com/2018/05/generate-word-document-from-sharepoint.html
The link uses quick parts from word to generate the document and update quick parts from SharePoint list data. But I don't know how I'll create custom quick parts to support the data.
2) Link - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zzm965PlYl0&feature=youtu.be&t=354
This video is pretty helpful and accomplished the task. The video is helpful. But I've a query. The action- "Populate a Microsoft Word template" is a premium action. I used this action in my PowerAutomate flow as a trial user to generate documents. May I know how long this action will work for the flow?
Thanks,
Kunal
Solved! Go to Solution.
Quick Parts are more trouble to use, but they don't require a premium license. Using a Word Template works well and is easier to use, but as you've seen it is a premium action. It will continue to work until your trial license expires.
You can also build a document as HTML and then create a PDF from the HTML. But that's the only other way I've seen to create a document.

Hi Pstork1,
How can I build a document as HTML. Any suggestions or links will be helpful.
Thanks,
Kunal
