Flow to notify an Office365 user that a planner task is assigned (not to them)

Hello,

I am trying to set up one of our Planners as an internal Helpdesk. Bellow is what I've done so far with the help of a blog article that I found on the web.

support desk flow.PNG

This works fine, but I would like

  1. The user that sent the email to the shared mailbox, to receive a notification that the task was created.
  2. The user that sent the email to the shared mailbox to receive a notification that the task was assigned to the X user.

Is any of the above possible?

Thanks

Re: Flow to notify an Office365 user that a planner task is assigned (not to them)

Hi @CharlieC , thank you for your post.

I suspect the blog you are referring to is this one: https://www.alanps1.io/power-platform/flow/flow-create-planner-task-and-include-attachments-from-out...

In simple terms, yes, notifucations can be easily added to this. Consider the below ...

Capture-426.pngRegards point 1. This would notify the person who sent the email initially (From) it was logged.

Regards point 2. This would allow you to include the name of the person the ticket was assigned to as X user.

Please give some of this a try, if you get stuck, please post back.

If you have found my post helpful, please mark thumbs up.

Any other questions, just ask.

Thanks, Alan

Re: Flow to notify an Office365 user that a planner task is assigned (not to them)

Hi Alan,

That's the blog post! I should have linked it here as it's written perfectly for people with minimum Flow experience.

I'll give your suggestion a try and come back to you with the result.

Thanks for the help again!
