Is the approval being created by flow or manually? You can use a flow with a trigger of "new item created" to create and wait for the approval and then send an e-mail stating when the approval is approved all in one - but if the approval is being created manually somehow - that would be hard I would think

It would look something like this (automated flow)
There is now a "When an item is created" trigger - unless you need something else - I would use that in this case and get rid of your need for the conditional
How would you wait for the approval in this case?
thanks,
Sher.
