Form submit to approval to email back to form submitter

Hi flowers!

hoping that you could assist me with some trouble i'm having.

What i've done is created a Form where a user would submit their name and email address, location and a few other bits of information. The flow will then send an approval to a user. The user to which the approval is sent to is different based on the field location in the form. When the approver approves it, i want an email to be sent to the user who submitted the original form with some additional information, but i can't seem to get the email to be sent out to the form responder's email address.

Thanks for all your help!

Darren

Hi @DarrenE ,

Just configure Get response details action once.

Please click See more to get more Dynamic content options, as below:

Please take a try.

Re: Form submit to approval to email back to form submitter

Hi @DarrenE ,

Could you share the full screenshots of Flow configuration?

Since you need users to submit their email address in your Form, why not use this email address directly?

In addition, if you are using MS Forms, Dynamic content includes responder’s email, as below:

Please take a try.

Hi @v-bacao-msft ,

I was trying to do that, but in the Create an email action, i'm unable to enter the dynamic content field 'responders email' into the 'To' field of the action.

@v-bacao-msft ,

This worked! i'm not sure why it wouldn't show those values as default, but it is working! thank you so much for the assistance.

Cheers,

Darren
