Forms populating a SharePoint list - data type not recognized

I am populating a SharePoint list from a Forms submission to initiate an approval process.

During the construction of the flow, I encountered the same issue a lot of other people encountered: After getting the responses, I could only map responses to columns that were formatted as Text single line.

Not nice, but I can work with that.

However, I just tried to change one of the column's data type from Text to number just to see what happens (after I mapped the forms response to this column). What happened really surprised me: The flow worked flawlessly.

It still populates all the fields as intended and provides the data for further calculation in SharePoint (I am using calculated columns in SharePoint to do some of the business logic in order to save actions in PA as I am approaching the limit of 250 actions).

So you might wonder: What is his question?

Simple: Am I doing something bad here that will give me headaches in the future?

I believe that you'll find there are occasions where you can't reference a calculated column.  For example, you can't reference a calculated column in an OData filter.

When you say that you can only map responses that were formatted as Text single line, can you give me an example?
