Gather username as dynamic content from creator of OneDrive file

 Hi,

So I am making a Flow so that when someone fills out a Form, it looks up and gets content of a pdf.

The pdf file identifier is being dynamically generated from one of the form answers. The pdf is named "New Employee -- EMPLOYEE NAME" and the "EMPLOYEE NAME" is one of the form answers.

Screenshot Image (Sorry im not the best with coding, this was the best i could get to work)

every time i test it, i get back this error:

{
  "error": {
    "code": 404,
    "source": "flow-apim-msmanaged-na-northcentralus-01.azure-apim.net",
    "clientRequestId": "edac1bc5-4e21-4abd-bd7d-428b226d05cb",
    "message": "The response is not in a JSON format.",
    "innerError": "The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."
  }
}

Any help?

Re: Gather username as dynamic content from creator of OneDrive file

Hi @ChazBolt,

I did the test on my side. Using Get file content action does show the problem you mentioned.

You could use Get file content using file path action to implement your needs.

Fill the dynamic content in the File path, you could get file content, and its output can also be used.

It work, as below:

Please take a try.

Re: Gather username as dynamic content from creator of OneDrive file

So i ended up still using Get File Content, and instead of sourcing using the dynamic content of a pdf that has been partially filled in, i had it source the original empty pdf and just reapply all the information, including the new stuff.

Then it just creates a new pdf with the same name and overwrites the old one.

Your answers works too, and it does the same practical thing, rewrites over a file with the same file with the same info plus more.

But this still isnt what i really want to do, which is update the file directly with new information, not overwrite it with the same file with new information.
