Get Excel row from file created Sharepoint, dynamic content as file differs each time

Hi everyone,

I was wondering how to extract data from an Excel file which is created (this is the trigger). Meaning that everytime a new excel file is added, the excel data is extracted to be used later. The excel file will always be formated the same but the values might differ.

It works with a fixed file, but doesn't seem to work with dynamic data/if the file is not known yet.

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

Laura

Hi @Anonymous,

Actually, this is not available in Flow to get rows from dynamic excel files, although the excel file will be the same name when every time save. The only way to select the excel file is to use the File picker.

There always have an idea about this feature requirement to be added in MS Flow IDEA Forum, you can head to vote it, collect votes to make it come true:

I thought one idea would be to use the [When a file is created] step....but that didn't work and I get an 'The parameter 'file' has an invalid value' error. I'm definitely interested in a solution as well. Dynamic File 2.png
