Get a Single Excel Row Based on Date

I'm using Excel Online (business), (I can't use OneDrive), and I have a table where each date can only have one single entry, so I figured I could grab a single row based on the date, but for whatever reason it's not that simple. When use "Get a Row" and enter date as the key column, and today's date as the key value it tells me that it's not a valid row ID. Is there anyway that I can actually make use of "Get a Row?" Or is it a waste of time?

Hi @Anonymous ,

The 'Get a row' action is to get a specific row.

So you need use the 'Key column' and 'Key value' to get the specific row.

For example, you want to get the second row below:

I'm using list rows with a filter, because using the method you described, but having "date" as my key column doesn't work. Even when I put in the correct integer value for date that excel converts it to.

Thanks for the responses though

Hi @Anonymous ,

Could you please share a screenshot of your flow's configuration and the excel table?

I am afraid I need more details to analysis for you.

I am having a similar problem to the OP.

I want to update a Row using a date as the Key Value. There date column is the only one with unique data.

dates excel table.PNG

Lets say i have to get row on 26/11/2019
get row date flow.PNG

No matter what I use as Key Value I get errors. I understand that Excel handles dates as an INT and that is where my problem is. How do i convert a Date back to its serial equivalent?
The only other solution I could think of would be to get table and then filter for date, but then I would have to add more steps in the flow than is necessary.

Thanks for your help in advance!
