Get author from a file I uploaded to the folder

Hello experts!
I'm doing some baby steps with flow and I have the following scenario:

I want to use flow to notify users that I finished working on a file that they uploaded to onedrive.

My idea was to have 2 folders: one like "inbox" and another as "complete" so when I move the file from inbox to complete, a notification will be sent to the user saying that the file has been treated.

So...

Q1. Is this even possible? I haven't been able to get the email of the user that uploaded the file to onedrive

Q2. Is there a better solution. The requisite is to use onedrive because not all people have access to sharepoint

Thanks in advance guys!

Happy coding

Re: Get author from a file I uploaded to the folder

Hi @raybot ,

I think you need two flows here to achieve your needs.

Folw 1: When a file is uploaded, send an email to you.

Flow 2: when you move the file from inbox to complete, a notification will be sent to the user.

However, there is no trigger about when a file is moved.

I suggest you use the trigger'When a file is modified (properties only)', then use the 'Move or rename a file'.

So you don't need to move the file by yourself.
