I am trying to create a flow which will send a notification email to a particular recipient when a new list item is added to the list.
The idea is that we have a list of invoices and whenever a new invoice is added to the list the corresponding client will get a notification with a link to download the attached file.
The recipient should be dynamically drown by a lookup field in the same list.
Field 1: Client
Field 2: Client email
Field 1: Invoice id
Field 2: client (Lookup)
Field 3: Client email (Lookup based on field 2)
Field 4: Attached file
In this case the flow should get a variable or the value from field 3 and send an email with the link from field 4 of the second list.
If anyone has done it and can provide some info pls let me know.
Flow cannot get the variable in field 3 according to field 2. As Lookup relationship in SharePoint cannot be recognized by flow.
You could post this idea in the Flow Ideas forum, so it might be considered for future releases.
I have exactly the same need as the OP.
It's a basic requirement. EIther enable it or allow us to create an column in the SP list such as =Lookup column which can then be accessed by Flow.
