Get hyperlink associated to a known text string

Somewhere in the body of a received e-mail in HTML format is a text string of the form

Click here to approve request 123456

(where `123456` is an example that changes from e-mail to e-mail)

This text it has a `mailto:` hyperlink. Something like:

<a href="mailto:info@example.com?subject=some_subject&amp;body=blahblah">Click here to approve request 123456</a>

In Microsoft Flow, I need to get that hyperlink:

mailto:info@example.com?subject=some_subject&amp;body=blahblah

How do I do this?

The ultimate goal is to have Flow send an e-mail as per the contents of the `mailto:` link.

I guess I could:

  1. Figure out the position (index) of `Click here to approve request`;
  2. Work back somehow to figure out the index of the `<a href="` and `">` immediately before that; and
  3. Parse what's in between those two markers.

This looks like it will be extremely painful in the Flow GUI. Is there no more convenient way?

Re: Get hyperlink associated to a known text string

Hi @jeaco ,

It could be achieved with the three steps you’ve mentioned in the post.

If you want a more convenient way, please consider using connector MailParser.

Here is the doc on mailParser (Preview) for your reference:

MailParse templates for your reference:

Best regards,

Mabel
